Those spiritual figures also give us a strong background of ethnic sense.They have a connection with Rain to keep reminding her past, and they help her to find the clues of the truth and get her through crisis. Jonny is a good and reliable boyfriend, too. He also really loves Rain. He is sacramental manduction of confidences with her and giving care to her when Rain faced up difficulties.
